Is it time for a career change?

This is what you can expect from Career Coaching sessions.

This is a possible outline and the purpose is to give you an idea about how we structure your coaching sessions. Subjects can be deleted or extended, depending on your unique situation. The exact approach will be adjusted according to your wishes during your bespoke Career Coaching journey.

Goal Setting & Steps Forward

We start our work with an orientation phase. What would you like to get out of the Career Coaching journey? What wishes do you have regarding your professional development? When do you feel most fulfilled? What are the steps you need to take (and when) to reach the career path we are aiming for? Together we will find the answers to these questions. And where needed, we can look at some practical aspects like your CV, networking possibilities, interview skills, cover letter, etc. We guide you when you want a career change, but are not very clear yet of what you'd like to do instead. You might have a good idea of what you don't want and why. Via several in-depth coaching and NLP exercises, we'll create clarity, direction and focus.

Building Self-Confidence

We'll elevate what you are naturally good at and what others admire in you. Which qualities and skills do you already have to get your ideal job, and which could use some extra development? How do your skills transfer to your dream work environment? If you'd like, a special "Feed-Forward Questionnaire" can be handed out to friends and/or colleagues to ask for their input.

“Am I too old to change?” - “Will I have to start from zero?” - “What if I fail?” - “What if it earns too little money?” Those questions and many more get tackled in our sessions.

Certain clients describe a sense of self-doubt, indecisiveness, imposter syndrome and at times their confidence has been knocked. While we're exploring your next step, we'll also make sure you get the coping tools to improve your current work situation. When you feel you have made mistakes in the past regarding your career choices, you might feel a pressure to get it right. Together we overcome your worries and improve your confidence and self-esteem.

Clarity & Direction

Career Coaching guides you from feeling stuck, unclear and unfulfilled to a new role where you are excited about your possibilities for growth. When your skills aren’t used, the company requires you to be somebody you are not it’s easy to get demotivated or burn-out, Together we get to know your personality, style of working and brainstorm about possible career paths that are aligned with who you truly are.

When you notice you are overthinking, procrastinating, getting overwhelmed or keep telling yourself to be grateful for what you’ve got; let’s work together and shift your fears and self-doubt to purpose-driven work.

Healing Past Experiences

When you have been made redundant, fallen victim to a reorganisation, or have been fired - maybe in your eyes for unfair reasons - you might like to work on your anger, sadness or feelings of unfairness. Did you have challenging experiences in relationships with colleagues, HR, your boss or manager? Maybe you’ve been searching for a job for quite a while, or have been fired from your last role. This part of the Career Coaching process helps to recover from those challenging experiences, restores your self-belief and remembers the connections and moments that have been positive,

Putting your time and energy (and in some cases even your heart and soul) into a company only to be left hurt can be very difficult. We come across many people who had very challenging experiences at work and this can really affected your overall well-being, self-esteem and state of mind. As your Career Coach, you receive support during this process of letting go what is no longer serving you and moving forward with confidence, ease and joy.

Your Values

There are many people who are not proud of their company or their job. They disagree with the company culture, (lack of) ethics, and behaviours of their bosses and/or colleagues. When your work is aligned with our inner true self, you perform best and enjoy most. Defining your own values is about finding out what you stand for in life. What role does your career play in the big picture of your life? What is important to you in your life and in your work? What requirements must your job fulfil in order to make you happy? What do you have to contribute to this world? What is the legacy you’d like to leave behind?

We will find out the answers via Value Elicitation Exercises. You’ll be supported in choosing a career that is truly aligned with who you are, in order for you to find your vocation and contribute something meaningful to this world.

Overcoming Obstacles

What type of barriers have you come across so far in your search for your dream job? You might be held back by obstacles in your internal world (like the voice of the Inner Critic who sabotages your path forwards, unconscious blocks, lack of confidence, stress, procrastination, limiting beliefs, fears about money etc) or in your external world (for example a lack of time and support, or a challenging job market in the times of AI and economic uncertainty). During the career coaching process we'll work on whatever it is that holds you back. We'll remind you of your deeper motivation during potential setbacks and build your trust in a positive outcome.

Confident Decision Making

How do you make the best decisions when it comes to your career path? When we are at important crossroads in our lives, how do we choose the right path? Who makes the final decision: your head, your heart, your intuition, or do you please the expectations of your environment and do what they want you to do?

Looking at your decision making process in the past we’ll start to understand when and how certain choices have been fruitful. With these lessons learned we focus on your future career path and the choices ahead.
