“The effect of our time together hasn’t stopped after we’ve finished our sessions. It’s as if my mind, my soul keeps finding a deeper sense of peace, as if the healing process continues. I’d like to thank you for all the help and attention during the two years we worked together. Until next time."

“Communicating openly with my wife has strengthened our relationship in ways I hadn’t anticipated.”
“I’ve been meaning to get in touch for some time to send a review for you, it’s been a wild year and now feels like the best opportunity, as I’ve had time to reflect on what you did for me and how you helped me achieve so much during our time together.
The work we did continues to influence my daily life, helping me focus on positives and infusing joy into every moment. Communicating openly with my wife about everything has strengthened our relationship in ways I hadn’t anticipated.
Your guidance has given me the confidence to communicate my feelings, explore them deeply, and stay connected to my purpose. Thank you for opening up this new chapter in my life.
I’ve had an incredible time re-training, crafting things I am extremely proud of, and realising that making is truly what I love to do.
I really felt a shift in the way I communicate with my father, he has been incredibly supportive of what I am doing and I seek his advise when it comes to challenges I face, I know the work we did helped me understand his life and the man he is, and I can truly see him as a friend that I love.
I don’t think I have the words to express how grateful I am for what you helped me achieve. I reflect on our discussions daily, and your words and feelings flow deeply through my thoughts.”

“You have sympathised when I never believed I deserved to or even be allowed to feel this way.”
“Here are a few genuine words of what a difference having your counselling and support has made in my life. When I came to you I was feeling very low, very negative and very close to giving up - my attitude was; if I was going to be kicked down so many times then I may as well stay down there.
Through a year of weekly sessions, with a combination of sympathy, guidance, understanding, reasoning, help and companionship, a complete change of my views, my attitude and my life have occured. You have helped me to find strength to understand others and their actions, and also to accept me and my actions. You have sympathised when I never believed I deserved to or even be allowed to feel this way. You helped me understand why I had come to this point in my life. And the best help of all was that you showed me that accepting things can help me move on, and progress.
I am very fortunate to have had you Karin as my counsellor. You have been a very special part of my life. I won't forget what an impact you have been in my life and beyond, as it has turned out to have had a domino effect on people around me as well. How you did all of this I truly don't know, but it feels amazing. And leaving the weekly sessions behind I thought would be tough or even scary, but I am fortunate enough to say it isn't as tough as I thought. But what is tough is that I will miss you as person, a friend, an amazing lady..”

“Karin remembers what I’ve told her weeks before.”
“I would recommend Karin as a counsellor. I have been seeing her for about six months and have found her to be a very good listener and someone who is willing to challenge my negative thinking. She remembers what I’ve told her weeks before and has been able to make links for me, so I can understand myself better.
I have found the experience helpful and it gave me a safe space in which to talk about my thoughts and feelings. I achieved a lot form the experience; Karin helped me to challenge my negative thinking. Karin was supportive but also challenging and questioning, which helped me to think about how I can challenge myself.”

“Karin uses her sense of humor in her work.”
“Karin is an ethical and professional individual. In my experience she demonstrates a high level of insight, and a keen emotional intelligence. She consistently demonstrates a good grasp of theoretical concepts and is always eager to learn more and develop her self-awareness. Finally she approaches challenges with focus and humor.”

“Her calming nature along with her heart-felt qualities allow a real sense of healing to take place.”
“Karin is an excellent coach, counsellor and psychotherapist. She is compassionate, kind and really gets to the heart of her clients' issues. Karin allows people space and is able to create a safe environment, so clients feel they have the room to explore deeper levels of themselves within a trusting and warm relationship.
Karin offers the whole of herself to the client's process - without directing the sessions she is able to allow the unknown to unfold and then offer amazing insight which can reveal clarity for the client. Her calming nature along with her heart-felt qualities help clients to feel really seen and held, allowing a real sense of healing in her presence.”

“I had strong issues relating to bereavement and loss.”
“I had strong issues relating to loss primarily and self (secondarily). I found an environment that was non-threatening, open, receptive, positive and personally challenging (the latter a very good thing for me). Karin was a catalyst for resolution of issues and an increased feeling of self-worth. The experience has been literally transforming.”

“I have a new sense of momentum and purpose.”
“I am very grateful to have had therapy working with someone as kind, skilled and understanding as Karin. As I came to realise that I would benefit from counselling, I braced myself for discussing my struggles – something that personally didn’t come easily for me as a man instilled with all society’s messages about what it is to be male.
Bringing up years of personal baggage was a daunting prospect especially as I had allowed it to fester unchecked for so long. Nevertheless, I knew that there were many things I needed to raise to ensure there was hope of being able to move forward in my life.
From the moment I met Karin, I felt at ease and never judged for anything I brought to my sessions. Our discussions have led me to understand how many of my experiences and personal coping mechanisms have contributed to the issues that I have struggled to unpick for so long. This has given me an understanding of why I have struggled to move forward but most importantly an emerging way of thinking that I am working hard to build into my daily life. As our weekly sessions continued, I looked forward to every one and could feel a weight lifted off my shoulders as we continued to build on the issues stemming from my personal experiences.
Within a relatively short period of time, I can feel the noticeably positive effects that these weekly talks, perspectives and reasoning have had on my life at this moment in time. Moreover, this has also helped with an epiphany moment as to a career change I am now pursuing.
An added bonus is that I now know what is important to me for my personal growth, overcome with a new sense of momentum and purpose.
Thank you Karin for the role you have played in starting this journey for myself and the many others who can no doubt say the same.”

Dear Karin,
Our time together was so meaningful to me that it will stay with me for the rest of my life. I miss the wisdom you shared in our sessions and your warm, approachable presence. I try to carry it with me now, wherever I am.
What began as three months of therapy, with what felt at the time like a simple, almost lofty intention to live more truthfully to myself quickly became something much deeper. I was entering a period of solitude and on a journey to becoming a parent. Before I knew it our work had grown into a full year of courageously exploring the many layers that make up who I am.
Our sessions gave me the deepest understanding I’ve ever had of where my identity comes from. That experience was very special and in many ways life-affirming. To truly understand my behaviours and emotional responses. To see where they developed from. It has given me new tools for emotional regulation that I never had before. I shared more of my childhood and inner life with you than I have with almost anyone on earth and you met it all with curiosity and a soft strength.
Living “authentically” requires far more bravery than I could ever have imagined when I first decided on that lofty goal at the start of 2025. There are many parts to who I am, and unfortunately we are generally rarely encouraged to approach all of them, especially the surprised or exiled ones with the kind of playful curiosity you brought to our sessions. Together, we examined parts of myself that had been long buried, memories I didn’t even realise were inaccessible. I was genuinely surprised by what surfaced. How did you manage to bring these memories out? These long forgotten experiences and memories had quietly shaped my adult emotional responses for years, and being able to see that clearly was incredibly powerful.
Through our work, I’ve felt my judgement soften to myself and to others. My curiosity about people continues to grow. Understanding where my own judgement came from, and the self-stigma I carried about certain behaviours, has been freeing and I love freedom as you know. We are all far more alike than we are different. Everyone is simply trying to find their own way to be okay in this world. Choosing curiosity over judgement has changed how I move through life, and I now regularly invite others to meet me and each other in the same way.
I learned that behaviour is not the person. We don’t have to like every behaviour, and we can name boundaries when something doesn’t feel right, but understanding that every person has a story behind how they behave is enough to dissolve judgement. That understanding alone feels transformative.
Finding the courage to step out of my thoughts and use my voice - to speak what I feel and what I need with kindness has shown me where my real strength lives. And real strength, I now know, also comes from reconnecting with my vulnerability that had been long exiled. Thank you for helping me become stronger by in turn helping me become more vulnerable. It is the greatest gift I could have given myself before becoming a parent.
As I reflect on our time together, I feel deeply grateful. I carry forward everything I learned - not only for my son, but for the people around me. If even a small part of this wisdom helps ripple outwards to create a better world then our time together will have had a very small but important impact. Scaling that upwards across all of your clients, I can only begin to imagine how fulfilling your work must be.
Thank you with all my heart.
Andrew Parry
