Personal Development and Creative Coaching - One brushstroke at a time

Everyone has their own unique story and therefore being able to offer a tailor-made approach is important to Anniek. In her practice in Baker Street she offers one-to-one sessions that often include a creative process as a way to support clients in their personal development.

As her client you might choose to use the opportunity to express a difficult emotion, thought or worry in the form of a painting after which we get a better idea what this might mean to you, how it affects you and how you can choose to work with it. This creative process often leads to a deeper understanding of what cannot easily be expressed in words, this might be because it feels too painful to talk about or it might not be clear enough. An often insightful conversation follows in which we discuss the possible patterns, dreams, hopes and challenges that have become visible in your creative work and process. This approach is often experienced as a less threatening way of looking at challenging emotions. In other cases you might be creating a map of your thoughts and feelings to increase awareness of your thought patterns or we talk and mindfully reflect on what thoughts and feelings are present.

You don't need to be an artist or the slightest bit creative to benefit from these sessions. We aren't focused on the outcome of an artwork, it's all about your inner journey.

Is this for you?

Anniek is the perfect fit if you are going through a challenging time and are interested in self-development with an emphasis on improving your emotional well-being:

  4. stress or overwhelm

  5. depression

  6. feeling stuck in life

In her sessions the emphasis is on cultivating self-compassioncreativity (which is our very nature) and self-awareness.
